Sticks and Stuff - Photo #4

Who needs toys? Hunter is all boy! Sticks, leaves, rocks, dirt or anything outside is what he likes to have in his hands.

Early Morning - Photo #3

What!? Summer is about sleeping in! Well not for the first week. I have a 4 day training for school. This is day 2. Thankfully we do not have to get up as early as a normal school day. We both get to sleep an hour later then it is off we go. Soon will be the days of no alarms and long zzzzzzzzz's!

Keeping Cool - Photo #2

It is not even officially summer but the heat is on! Today it was 100 degrees! Our evenings, when it is a little cooler, are usually spent outside. Not only do we have the heat but we also have NO rain! So some evenings we water the yard to save the grass and our foundation. Hunter loves the sprinkler. Today he decided to steal my drink and play in the sprinkler. He is one "cool" boy!

Summer Time - Photo #1

Today we went down to Kemah to watch the boats go in and out of Clear Lake. It was a perfect day to take a boat out. Hunter watched as the boats passed by. He even learned a new word "boat". He continued to say this new word the entire way home. Boat time = Summer time :)

30 Day Summer Challenge.....Coming Soon!

This is a pictue blogging challenge I am giving myself. Now that I can blog from my phone I should be able to keep up....key word "should". The challenge is to post a new picture for 30 days. Most pictures I'm sure will be of Hunter but I will also try to include other things too! Consecutive days.....not sure about that ;). For sure I will have 30 pictures by the end of summer! Photo #1....coming soon!

Rodeo Time - Yeehaw!

This is a very special time of year for Ryan and I because our first date was to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Hunter is still a little too young to sit and watch the Rodeo, but he did get to experience the Livestock Show. Hunter even had a new pair of "camo" boots. No hat ... maybe next year!

Our first stop......the tractors. Hunter knew exactly what to do. He really liked this big toy ... just like his daddy!

Then we visited the animals at the petting zoo. Hunter met a few goats, a pig and even a deer.

Hunter rode a pony named Gem. Check it out ... one handed! This is only his second time to ride a real pony and he is already a pro! He really does need a cowboy hat!

Hunter even got to work on a farm. He collected veggies, milked a cow, collected wool and picked fruit. All of these things he turned in for "money". Then we visited the "Store" and bought a snack. Next year I am sure he will be able to do most of it on his own ... mom and dad helped him out a little.

My favorite part of this time of the year is the deep fried goodness! Hunter took in a little fried cheese cake ... yummy! I think he enjoyed his first Livestock Show. He was worn out by the end of the day!

I never would have thought when Ryan and I went on our first date we would eventually be bringing our son out here too! The best part of being a parent is starting traditions with your child .... I love it!
